Rayne, you are loved
Dear Rayne,
It is late Saturday night where we are and it's raining (there's been a super crazy snow storm where you are safe with nanna and super G). I haven't seen you since Tuesday and I miss you terribly. I miss all my little kidlets but hearing the rain falling outside made me think of you and why I named you Rayne. I love the rain. It makes me feel safe when I hear it's rhythm on the roof. It's a gentle lullaby. If I'm caught in the rain, it reminds me of happily running through it wildly with my little sister Genevieve at my mom and dad's farm years ago. If it's a rainstorm, excitement flows through me. I don't know why. It just does. There's an awesome power in rain. It makes things grow and washes the earth clean. Streets that were dusty shine and thirsty flowers sparkle as if it wasn't really rain but diamonds that fell from the sky. I'm sure that in some places and times in the world diamonds would be traded in a second for rain. I would always trade any amount of diamonds for you.
So my love, you may get teased by some dumb kids in your life because of your name, but please know, it is one of my most favorite things in the world - and I got to name you. Daddy named Vienna so he needs to tell her why he picked that name.
Love Always,
Mom
