Your UnBirthday Party

Dear Vienna and Rayne,

Because your birthday is right after Christmas and just before New Years Eve, your birthday is generally an after thought. We're very sorry about this. To make it up to you, we've decided to have multiple unbirthday parties for you throughout the year. (So much better right?) :) This was Dad's idea. He is officially known as the VP of Fun in the Sikorsky household.
So this was the day... We started off with a play date (mommy was kind of working) at Leah's house. You were too shy to really play until it was time to go two hours later.
Then, McDonalds, where you got buhguz and fies and off to Ice Age 3 at the cheap theaters. I'm not really sure if it's worth the HUGE savings because, gosh, you have to deal with A LOT of really annoying people. And since I have ADD, I hear EVERYTHING. Ugh. We had to move seats to a 'quieter' area of the theater, away from the kids who were talking like they were at their own private theater - hello parents, if you don't want to tell your kids to keep it down at the theater, don't go, rent it and stop being a jerk. Anyway, I really don't like the theater, but I'll do it for you my dear sunshines. You LOVE the big movie. You also got to snuggle up with Mom and Dad (Tristjan had to sit solo) and eat popcorn, vitamin water and reeces pieces. Yup. Junk food. You love junk food.
When the movie was barely over, you both asked to go home. You really like home too. Just like Dad. :)
On our way home, we stopped at the Dollar Store and Dad let you load up the basket with party hats and other goodies. (I always get embarrassed that Dad lets you fill up the basket with whatever you can grab, cause we don't ever buy everything in the basket. Dad just leaves the 'fun' basket for some bored, under paid employee to put away while we put the items we actually want in a fresh, empty basket.) I also picked you up a few secret presents. (At only a dollar, you can't go wrong.)
Off again, to buy your unbirthday cake. A chocolate cheesecake. When we got home, we all put on the birthday hats and Dad sneaked off to wrap your very special presents (plastic high heels, plastic earrings and plastic lipstick). I have to admit, you didn't get this girlie streak from me. I suspect Nana had something to do with that.
We had ruben sandwiches for supper and then sang you happy unbirthday a few times. It was such a fun day. Oh, I just reminded myself that there is still some of that cheesecake in the fridge calling out to me. Yay! :)

Love Mom
